§Location- Because it is south of the equator, the seasons in Australia are the opposite of those in Europe: it’s winter in Australia when it’s summer in Europe.

3. Central Australia is mostly desert. This is the largest part of Australia. Very little rain falls here. Most of this area gets less than 10 inches of rain per year!

Only the southeast and southwest corners along the coasts have a temperate climate. Summers aren’t too hot & winters aren’t too cold. The climate in these regions is the one that most Australians prefer. Most Australians live along the southeastern coast.

Cairns

Cairns, located in the North of Queensland is just over 2 hours by plane from Brisbane.

reefs over an area of 344,400 square kilometers (133,000 square miles), it’s even visible from outer
space.  

Day cruises whether on a small vessel or large liveaboard boat give you the chance to snorkel and dive among the vivid coral gardens.

The Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens are considered to have one of Australia’s best exhibitions of tropical plants, and the plant life here is strikingly different from what you may have seen in botanic gardens at cooler climates.

The Scenic Railway runs from Cairns to the nearby town of Kuranda, passing by incredible scenery such as the World Heritage-listed forest.

The railway was originally built over 120 years ago as a commuter railway and is now used as a tourist railway. The trip takes just under 2 hours one-way.


Palm the coves

Palm The cove  is a charming seaside village, and the home of a beach that’s considered to be Cairns’ best.
It’s a great spot for a relaxing day of sun, sand, and surf, and it’s also popular for kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving.

If you’re a golfer, there’s also a 9-hole golf course only a 1km walk from the beach.

Crystal Cascades

The Crystal Cascades is a hidden gem of Tropical North Queensland: a freshwater swimming hole nestled in a tropical rainforest, with several small waterfalls flowing into large pools.

The Skyrail Rainforest 


The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a 7.5km cableway running above the stunning, UNESCO World Heritage-listed verdant rainforest in the Barron Gorge National Park.


The Atherton Tablelands


The Atherton Tablelands area highland region half an hour out of Cairns, and they’re a lovely way to spend a few days .


The Great Barrier 

The Great Barrier Reef forms a breeding sanctuary for cetaceans (whales and dolphins), with 35% of the world’s total living whale and dolphin species calling the Reef home.


Green Island 

Green Island is one of Cairns’ most loved tourist attractions: a coral cay 27km offshore from Cairns, within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park World Heritage Area, only 300 meters wide and 650 meters long.

Cleland Wildlife Park

is a limited-enclosure zoo park focusing on native wildlife in Adelaide. Here, visitors can stroll through Mount Lofty forest habitat to find human-habituated koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, and more. Learn about the park's animals, including lorikeets and dingoes, during daily feedings hosted by the keepers


The highest point in the aptly named Mt Lofty Ranges, Mt Lofty is a luxurious place to get sweeping views of Adelaide and out onto the Indian Ocean.

Goldcoast

The Gold Coast is located on the East Coast of Australia, in the state of Queensland, approximately 75km south of Brisbane.

MAN-MADE ATTRACTIONS 

Warner Bros. MOVIE WORLD 
Opened 3 June 1991 - Located Pacific Highway, Oxenford,20 minutes north of Surfers
Paradise, 45 Minutes south of Brisbane. - The park contains various movie-themed rides
and attractions ranging from motion simulators to roller coasters and slow river rides. In
addition, costumed character performers also patrol the park, allowing visitors the
chance to take photos with them.


SEA WORLD

Opened 30 October 1971

Located - Seaworld Drive, Main Beach. 3 kilometers north of Surfers Paradise

Is a marine mammal park, oceanarium, and theme park which includes rides, animal exhibits, and other attractions, and promotes conservation through education and through the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife.

DREAMWORLD

 Opened 15 December 1981
Location: Coomera, Queensland
 Currently Australia's largest theme park
The park is made up of several themed lands: Ocean Parade, Kid's World, Wiggles World, Gold Rush Country, Rocky Hollow, Tiger Island, and the Australian Wildlife Experience. These lands feature a collection of rides, animal exhibits, shows, food outlets and merchandise shops.
Also in 2006 Dreamworld opened a water park called White Water World, attractions themed to Australian beach culture
 

JUPITARS CASINO 

 The opening date is November 1985 (partial), February 1986 (official) - It shows the excitement of 7 award-winning restaurants, 8 lively bars, a live stage show spectacular, and non-stop casino action. 


WET N’ WILD

Opened on 30 September 1984

 Location: Wet'n'Wild Water World is a large water park situated in Oxenford, owned by Warner Village Theme Parks.



NATURAL ATTRACTIONS

BURLEIGH HEADS is a suburb on the Gold Coast. It is located in the middle between the southernmost Coolangatta and the northern beach of Surfers Paradise. The main tourist attraction of Burleigh Heads is a national park that contains wildlife and offers scenic bushwalks overlooking the coastline of the Gold Coast.


MT TAMBOURINE

A 28 km² plateaux (8 km long by 4 km wide) in the Scenic Rim, Gold Coast Hinterland, southeast Queensland. It is well-known for walking tracks winding through rainforest regions and occasionally past cliffs or waterfalls. The most well-known ones are the Curtis Falls rainforest track and the Knoll.

Tamborine Mountain attracts a large number of tourists to "Gallery Walk" along Long Road, a street devoted to art galleries, cafes, and souvenir shops.


Melbourne


Melbourne is located in the State of Victoria, in Australia.

Melbourne was founded on the banks of the Yarra River, which flows into Port Philip Bay.

Modern architecture and design is juxtaposed with heritage buildings reflecting Australia’s unique history.



The Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square is a one-stop-shop for visitors offering free brochures, maps and event listings, along with souvenirs and a travel booking service.


Street Art

Melbourne is known as one of the world’s great street art capitals for its unique expressions of art displayed on approved outdoor locations throughout the city.​​


Alfresco eateries, one-off shops, and cozy little bars all nestle side-by-side in laneways threading throughout the city.

A visit to the historic landmark Cooks' Cottage, situated in the beautiful heritage-listed Fitzroy Gardens, was built in 1755.

The oldest building in Australia and a popular Melbourne tourist attraction.
